On your arrival, a warm and friendly Thompsons Africa welcome awaits you! Your guide is ready to assist you through the airport to your waiting vehicle that will be transporting you to your seaside accommodation, Cape Grace. Spend the rest of the afternoon at leisure. Cape Town is historically, culturally and visually, the most diverse, breathtakingly scenic and vibrant city you’ll have had the pleasure of visiting. Known fondly as the Mother City, Cape Town has everything for the curious traveller who enjoys the good life in all its colours and guises. From exquisite wine farms in magnificent green settings, to a long and captivating history and architecture, there’ll be little doubt in your mind why it’s voted one of the world’s finest cities to visit.
Summit the legendary Table Mountain then wind your way past the scenic and upmarket suburbs of Camps Bay and Clifton en-route to the central business district. Sense the depth of history as you drive past Parliament Buildings, City Hall, the Slave Lodge and the Castle of Good Hope, originally built as a maritime replenishment station and now the oldest surviving colonial building in South Africa! Passing Charly's Bakery, home of Charly's Cake Angels, we hear of the brief history of District Six en-route to a visit at the Company Gardens. Learn more about the history of the Bo-Kaap and its people as we move up the cobblestoned hills to the Malay Quarter, and marvel at the ice-cream colours of the quaint Bo- Kaap homes. Finally, trace the moves of a professional diamond cutter as he creates every girl's dream stone.
Your Experience Highlights:
Mother Nature surpassed herself when crafting the Mother City. Whether jogging along Sea Point Promenade, climbing up Lion’s Head in the dawn light, clambering over giant boulders at Sandy Bay or driving the amazing coastal roads down to Cape Point, you never fail to feel your spirits soar as you take in the breathtakingly beautiful vistas. You don’t need to break a sweat; sipping wine on a historic farm in Constantia or enjoying a picnic at an outdoor concert in Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens are equally memorable ways to commune with Cape Town’s great outdoors. Wrenching yourself away from the magnetic mountain and all the delights of the Cape Peninsula is a challenge, but within an hour you can exchange urban landscapes for the charming towns, villages and bucolic estates of Winelands destinations such as Stellenbosch and Franschhoek.

No surprise why Victoria Falls is one of the seven Natural Wonders of the World. You'll understand it instantly as we tour the Zimbabwean side, for there are numerous spectacular vantage points along the width of the Falls, and the sight of this astounding gift of nature, simply takes your breath away. Walk through the permanent, beautifully misty rain forest which flanks the Falls, stopping to marvel at the principal sites as it cascades to the depths below the Main Falls, Horseshoe Falls, Rainbow Falls, the Boiling Pot, Cataract Island and Livingstone Island. We'll stand and watch, feel and listen to the spray and thunderous noise, as millions of litres of water tumble over the Falls into a series of narrow gorges below. The seventh Natural Wonder of the World puts on the most dramatic show for you, and you'll be privileged to have watched it.
